Fête Chinoise X Breakfast Television 2019

On this first day of Lunar New Year, we feel honoured to be featured on Breakfast Television with Dina Pugliese and Roger Petersen, to share some ideas for celebrating tradition in a refreshingly modern style.

This tablescape allows us to delve deeper into our culture, past the singular dimension of red, into a realm of possibility and symbolism. Our design was gently inspired by the movie Crazy Rich Asians (including the ring from Tiffany & Co.). The beautiful modern and geometric Wheat Leaf collection from Tiffany & Co. and their stunning chopsticks complimented the stationery from Palettera.

Opening Night Flowers prepared some gorgeous yellow and pink orchids to represent togetherness, beauty and joy, with gold and red highlights to balance the aqua linen from Susan Murray.

Chef Bernard from Tastee Bakery also prepared some Hong Kong café menu-inspired desserts and his coveted pineapple bun milk tea mousse cake. Thanks also to Mellyeatsworld for her little macaron piggies! All lucky money pockets are a limited edition luxury set designed and produced by Palettera.
