Collected Letters uses traditional Chinese porcelain as its medium; porcelain is one of the materials that Liu have been practicing with for many years. What Liu was hoping for when he chose porcelain as the material for this installation was to bring it to the artistic practices of the contemporary and to reinvest it with new functions.
