As Fête Chinoise continues to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we find ourselves reflecting on what it truly means to stand the test of time, and to be daring in our universe of story-telling, publishing and experience-making. Honouring legacy while embracing bold, creative evolution is at the heart of our work — a parallel vision we saw powerfully reflected at the recent TUDOR Evening with David Beckham in Toronto. We learned firsthand how the TUDOR x Beckham partnership continues to redefine what it means to be timeless.

The evening was a celebration of the #BornToDare spirit, a philosophy rooted in TUDOR’s heritage yet is relentlessly forward-looking. For TUDOR, legacy is not about remaining static; it’s about constant reinvention in pursuit of excellence, individuality, and meaning. These very same values define Beckham’s long-standing ambassadorship with the brand.

Having represented TUDOR since 2017, Beckham revealed that choosing to work with the brand was an intuitive decision: “It’s about signing with the right people, and the right people at Tudor just happened to be the biggest and the best.” His respect for the brand’s craftsmanship and detail affirmed a shared commitment to authenticity, ambition, and daring to break boundaries.

As the brand approaches its centennial in 2026 and Beckham nears a decade of partnership, we draw parallels to our own journey. In the TUDOR x Beckham story, we see a direction for the future: where legacy lays the foundation, and innovation carries it forward to the next chapter. With Fête Chinoise marking a decade this year, the shared sentiment of time and marking milestones felt especially poignant. I had a moment to connect with David to show him our 10th anniversary edition of the magazine, as well as about the last Design Annual we published featuring a hand-illustrated dreamscape of theneon lights (now-artifacts) from Hong Kong, a city with a big fan base and where David has strong connections in business and sport.

The event also unveiled an exciting preview of TUDOR’s 2025 novelties, including the Black Bay Chrono Carbon 25, a nod to the speed and precision of Formula 1; the Pelagos FXD Chrono ‘Pink’, celebrating teamwork and endurance in professional cycling; and the Black Bay Chrono ‘Pink’, a tribute to the bold energy of football. These timepieces exemplify how the brand captures the spirit of diverse lifestyles, telling personal stories of individuality and self-expression–the cornerstone of the #BornToDare philosophy.

TUDOR’s recent partnership with Inter Miami CF, the global football club co-owned by Beckham alongside Jorge and Jose Mas, further reflects this daring vision. In just five seasons, the club has emerged as one of the most talked-about teams in global sport, built on the freedom to dream and the courage to build something entirely new.

As we enter our 11th year at Fête Chinoise, we share this forward-looking mindset. We remain dedicated to crafting keepsake publications and cultural experiences that honour tradition while exploring what it means to be artistic, contemporary, and meaningful in today’s Canada. Like TUDOR, we believe legacy and innovation are partners in the pursuit of excellence.

To stand timeless is to evolve with intention. From the enduring partnership of TUDOR and David Beckham, we are reminded that the future is built on vision, values, and the courage to dare.
