Traditionally on Mid-Autumn night, following a warm family dinner, families gather in local parks to admire the full moon, light brilliant paper lanterns, share sweet mooncakes, and connect deeply with one another.

The Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra (TSYO) is one of Canada’s leading youth orchestras.
For over 50 years, the TSYO has provided a high-level orchestral experience for talented young musicians aged 22 and under. The tuition-free TSYO program delivers a unique, powerful, and life-enriching opportunity that encourages significant achievement, regardless of the career path participants choose to pursue. The TSYO has a close affiliation with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO): TSO musicians serve as coaches through the season, TSO guest artists lead masterclasses for TSYO members, and the TSYO performs annually with the TSO in a side-by-side concert at Roy Thomson Hall.

Yan Qing is a Chinese Malaysian singer-songwriter based in Toronto. Inspired by artists like Conan Gray and Lizzy McAlpine, Yan Qing’s folk singer-songwriter style of writing reflects a stream of consciousness that feels like a conversation with a childhood friend. Her songs often serve as a reflection of her thoughts about everyday life, as well as a show of appreciation for her friends and family, and they often grapple with the universal struggles and existential questions asked by early 20-something year olds and others who are trying to ‘figure it out’. Through sharing her songs online, she’s found a community of dedicated followers who are drawn to the openness, vulnerability and specificity in her songwriting.

Tone Labs Music Academy is an award-winning music academy in Markham built around one belief: music education should develop more than great musicians. It should build confidence, creativity, individuality, and a lifelong love of music.
For over a decade, Tone Labs’ team of award-winning educators and working musicians has helped students of all ages discover their own path in music. From first lessons to exams, bands, live performances, recording sessions and competitions, students are given opportunities to put what they learn into practice and grow both on and off the stage.
Tone Labs teachers have nurtured award-winning students, competition champions, performers and young artists, but success at Tone Labs looks different for everyone. For some, it is earning a top exam result. For others, it is performing in front of an audience for the first time, joining a band, recording a song, or simply finding the confidence to express themselves through music.
With modern music education, real performance experiences and a supportive community at the heart of everything Tone Labs do, Tone Labs is a place where students don’t just learn to play music. They discover what they’re capable of.

Leona is a passionate local singer whose enchanting performances illuminate community events, where she enthusiastically shares Chinese culture and language through her music. Her warm, captivating voice brings joy to friends and family at weddings and celebrations, creating cherished memories. Leona is equally dedicated to performing at community events and giving back as a mentor and event consultant for charity events within the financial professional community.
