Contest Period
June 22 – September 7, 2026 (closes at 11:59 PM EST)

Eligibility
Contest open to Canadian residents. One entry per category per person. (Other art lovers from other countries are welcome to download and participate for fun!) If contestants have not reached the age of majority in their province, parent or guardian consent is necessary.

Submission
Upload a scan or photo of your completed art through the online submission form at www.loveatmidautumn.ca. Contestants must use the templated official art sheets provided by Fête Chinoise. Other entries will not be accepted.

Winners
Winners will be announced by September 14, 2026. Each category will have 3 winners (1st prize, 2nd prize, and 3rd prize). Winners will be exhibited at the Community Event in Markham, and receive a gift package from Fête Chinoise and partnering brands with a retail value of $100-$500.

Important Notes

• All forms of colouring and drawing/art are encouraged and welcomed. This may include but is not limited to: pencil/pencil crayon, watercolour, ink, crayons, paint, marker, chalk pastel, charcoal, paper mâché, sand, felt, and other creative mediums.

• Entries will be judged based on creativity by a panel of judges.

• AI-generated artwork will not be accepted.

• A valid email and Fête Chinoise subscription (free) are required to access downloads and enter the competition. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

• Winners will be contacted via email to submit a high-resolution scan of their artwork for exhibition at the Community Event of Markham. Contestants are encouraged to submit a high-resolution (300 dpi) scan or photo at the time of entry submission.

• All accepted entries will be featured in an online gallery curated by Fête Chinoise. Selected submissions may also be featured in large format at an in-person event or shared on social media.

• In the event of a dispute, Fête Chinoise reserves the right to make the final decision.

Before you submit

• I confirm that the submitted entry is my own artwork.

• Only one entry per category is allowed per person. Please submit one entry at a time. 

• Schools wishing to submit multiple entries in bulk should contact info@fetechinoise.ca.

• By submitting my artwork, I confirm that I have read and agree to the rules. I understand that Fête Chinoise may publish my colouring or drawing online, in print, or at an in-person event.

Disclaimer

The following kind of content is prohibited: (a) Offensive and likely to expose an individual or a group of individuals to hatred or contempt on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, age or disability. (b) Pornography, vulgarity, obscenity or sexually explicit content. (c) Anything illegal. (d) Hate speech. (e) Threats, harassment. (f) Threats or suggesting committing a criminal act. (g) Profane, libellous, defamatory, threatening, insulting or promoting any activities that may be illegal, inappropriate, unsafe, dangerous or socially irresponsible. (h) Infringement upon any person’s, entity’s or organization’s personal or proprietary rights, including but not limited to, intellectual property rights. Any entry deemed by Fête Chinoise to be in violation of the above prohibitions or otherwise inappropriate will be disqualified by Fête Chinoise in its sole and absolute discretion.

The decisions of Fête Chinoise with respect to all aspects of this contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of entrants and/or entries. Fête Chinoise reserves the right to amend the contest rules or to terminate the contest at any time without any liability to any contestant. Any amendments to these rules will be posted on the website. Fête Chinoise assumes no liability for any loss, damage or injury, without limitation. Personal information collected at the point of entry is collected by Fête Chinoise and will be stored and used solely for the purposes of administering this contest as well as for any other purpose you may have opted into at the time of entry.
