2026 Fête Chinoise Design Annual 設計薈賞

2026 Fête Chinoise Design Annual 設計薈賞
Our Summer Launch is Here! This year’s stunning muted gold cover draws inspiration from the strength, versatility, and resilience of bamboo, elegantly captured through two shoots poised in a fermata-shaped bend. True to our vision, this publication is designed to be cherished, collected, and displayed as a timeless coffee-table book.
Reflecting on this edition, we are reminded of art’s profound power to document our world, offering new ways to understand, process, and reimagine it. The 2026 Design Annual brings together a diverse collective of artists and makers whose work spans painting, craft, and contemporary design. Through intimate conversations with creators across Toronto, Johor Bahru, Beijing, Hong Kong, and beyond, we explore how tradition evolves through individual vision and material practice.
Across these features, themes of resilience, meticulous craftsmanship, and cultural continuity emerge, from miniature worlds and painterly landscapes to ceramic traditions and spatial design. Each practice reflects a personal yet collective dialogue with heritage, beautifully reinterpreted for today.
We invite you to explore these stories and engage with the voices expanding the language of contemporary Chinese design.
Featuring: Kejie Lin, Picoworm (Pui Wan Lim), Yuet Tung China Works, LABEG (Gabriel Lau), The Palace MULI by Yabu Pushelberg, Francesco Lietti, Hayley Chiu
