Q ixi Festival is known as the original Chinese Valentine’s Day (sometimes referred to as the Double Seventh Festival). It is a celebration of love that was inspired by a legendary myth and romantic tale in the Han dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD), taking place every year on the seventh day of the seventh month of the Lunar calendar. This year, Qixi falls on Thursday, August 4th (you're welcome for the timely reminder!).
