We both have big families and loved how our wedding was able to unite all of our family from around the world.
— Tiffany & Aaron

Aaron and Tiffany found love amidst a vibrant summer in 2015, bonding over sports and family values. Their relationship blossomed with the proposal taking place in summer of 2019 with a wedding planned for the following year, but was interrupted by the global pandemic. Undaunted, the couple persevered over the challenge of the pandemic with a wedding ceremony in 2020 at St. Patrick's Parish, followed by a grand reception in 2022 at the Four Seasons Toronto, uniting their families from around the globe. Especially because of the pandemic, the coming together to an in-person event to celebrate was extra joyous and sweet.

In the rich mosaic of Toronto's cultural fabric, Tiffany and Aaron's love story weaves together cherished traditions and heartfelt moments. Introduced through a mutual Hong Kong alumni group, their bond deepened over shared values, passions, and shared faith. Their wedding journey celebrated familial heritage and the enduring power of love.

Their wedding was a fusion of Chinese and Western traditions. The tea ceremony featured ancestral Qun Kua and Qipao, symbolizing generations of familial love and heritage. Hosting over 250 guests at the Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville, the couple aimed to create an inclusive celebration in Toronto, where their loved ones could join them.

Choosing the hotel for the grandeur of the Aria ballroom, they indulged in exquisite cuisine, ensuring their guests experienced culinary delights that were world class. Their day blended Chinese rituals and Western customs, from traditional dances to a choreographed first dance, reflecting their diverse cultural backgrounds and personal passions. For Tiffany, that passion is dance.

"I wore a traditional Qun Kua that was worn by brides from several generations on Aaron's side of the family." Tiffany recalls the significance of family history in the traditional wedding Kua she had the once in a lifetime opportunity to wear.

Despite the challenges of a packed itinerary, every moment was cherished, as people had a chance to catch up after being apart for so long. The couple's first dance was a testament to love. As a dancer, it was a dream fulfilled for Tiffany, with Aaron's support adding to the magic of the moment.

“My favourite part was our first dance because I grew up as a dancer and had always wanted to do a choreographed dance at my wedding. It was really out of Aaron's comfort zone but he knew how much it meant to me so he went along with it.”—Tiffany & Aaron
