The wedding of Olivia and Chris was a celebration of a Chinese-Canadian couple steeped in cultural heritage. Against the backdrop of the historic Tivoli Palácio de Seteais Hotel, their special day seamlessly blended traditional Chinese customs with modern Western elegance, from the intricate symbolism of the bride's attire to the Chinese tea ceremony and exchange of blessings.

"We dressed in traditional 龍鳳褂 (Qua), elaborate garments symbolizing prosperity and happiness. This attire connected us to our cultural roots and added a touch of historical significance to our wedding."

Olivia and Chris’s wedding celebration was filled with touches of their personal styles to combine Chinese and Western traditions. The bride's attire included both a traditional Chinese bridal gown adorned with symbolic motifs and a modern Western-style wedding gown, reflecting their blended identities. Traditional Chinese elements, such as the tea ceremony, the exchange of red pockets and symbolic bracelets, added depth and meaning to the festivities. They also had fun with their bridal party with dramatic paper fans inscribed with joyous and lighthearted phrases in Chinese calligraphy. Their venue, the Tivoli Palácio de Seteais Hotel, provided a picturesque backdrop that merged their love for history, nature, and elegance.

Despite challenges like unexpected rain, the day was filled with unforgettable moments, including the heartfelt vow exchange that perfectly captured their unique bond—a blend of humour, sincerity, and profound love. "We both share a passion for outdoor activities, especially skiing. We've skied all over the world, tackling various slopes and embracing the thrill of new adventures. Chris always encourages me to be stronger and face my fears, especially when it comes to skiing down challenging trails. His belief in me helps me push my limits and grow as a person. I believe a good relationship is one where both partners inspire each other to become better versions of themselves. With Chris, I feel we do just that. I envision our future together as a beautiful journey filled with love, growth, and shared dreams. We will continue to support each other, explore the world, and create countless memories along the way."
