Finch & Midland Cast & Creative Team at VIFF 2025

Directed by Timothy Yeung, Finch & Midland explores the lives of four Hong Kong immigrants in Canada. Set against the culturally rich backdrop of Scarborough, the film resonates deeply with the experiences of countless immigrants across the country. Director Timothy Yeung highlights emotional and personal challenges faced during transitions of identity, the pursuit of belonging, and the courage it takes to build a new life in a new land.

Finch & Midland includes an incredible lineup: Anthony Wong, Patrick Tam, Harriet Yeung, Theresa Lee, Nina Paw, and more. A special congratulations to Anthony Wong, who has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 62nd Golden Horse Awards for his role in the film!

Fête Chinoise was proud to present the pre-premiere reception in collaboration with the Chinese Canadian Museum, with delicious food provided by local favourite, Lin Restaurant.

We look forward to Finch & Midland’s official cinema release — let’s support local storytelling when Finch & Midland hits theatres. Stay tuned for more updates!
