CITA “Wear’s HK” Fashion Pop-Ups Showcase Hong Kong Fashion Designers
Fête Chinoise Exclusive: On the Ground in Hong Kong at Hong Kong Fashion Fest 2026

Highlighting the city’s vibrant design talent, "Wear's HK" introduces 20 standout Hong Kong fashion designers to local and international style enthusiasts through a series of curated pop-ups across six premier fashion hotspots. Running from September 1 to 14, these immersive retail showcases offer a fresh, accessible platform for homegrown brands across five iconic shopping destinations: Harbour City, ifc mall, Harvey Nichols at Pacific Place, Hysan Place, and Festival Walk, as well as the Hong Kong International Airport.
Each location features a unique capsule selection from two to six featured designers, making every pop-up an exclusive experience. Fête Chinoise attended the opening ceremonies across three key locations: Harbour City, ifc mall, and Harvey Nichols at Pacific Place. Joining the designers to celebrate the launch were Hong Kong stars Louise Wong and Jeffrey Ngai, bringing an extra layer of glamour and excitement to the city-wide fashion showcase.
Derek Chan
Derek Chan is the founder and creative director of DEMO. Holding a Master of Philosophy in Fashion & Textile Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Derek is known for blending philosophy, poetry, and science into fashion that reimagines traditional masculinity through a contemporary and gender-neutral lens. He began his career as a finalist in the 2012 Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest (YDC), and launched DEMO in 2014. His work has garnered international acclaim for its emotional depth and boundary-pushing gender expression. Derek was named Designer of the Year (Menswear) by the Hong Kong Fashion Council in 2016, awarded Collection of the Year, and was recognized as one of the 10 Asian Designers to Watch by Fashion Asia in both 2019 and 2020. He was also nominated as one of the 9 Emerging Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Designers by HYPEBEAST, and in 2022, DEMO was selected as a featured brand at the Elite Show at CENTRESTAGE. Most recently, DEMO was honored with the ASIAN BRANDS 60 Award by SIXTYPERCENT Inc., solidifying its position as one of Asia’s most influential fashion voices.
Kev Yiu
KEV YIU is a Hong Kong couture designer with over 15 years of high-end dress-making experience. Kev’s unique vision on feminine body curvature with his signature glamorous design which features luxurious detailing and embroidery resulted in high appreciation from different international high fashion brands, famous actresses, and celebrities. He graduated with triple distinctions in Fashion & Clothing in England in 2006. Meanwhile, his first couture brand – Sovereign Romance was launched and developed further after moving back to Hong Kong in 2007. Kev was chosen as the fashion icon by the fashion magazine JESSICA CODE in 2010 and 2014. In 2013, Sovereign Romance was renamed KEV YIU Couture. With years of hard work and unique talent, Kev was chosen as one of the winners of the Ten Outstanding DesignersAward in 2014.
Natacha Van
Natacha Van
Natacha Van is a distinguished fashion designer and the founder of her eponymous brand, established in 2015. Born in Hong Kong, and with a multicultural heritage that blends Cambodian, French, and Chinese influences, Natacha’s background has significantly shaped the identity and aesthetic of her designs. Natacha discovered her creative talents at a young age, exploring various artistic disciplines such as ceramics, oil painting, textiles, and photography during her studies in the UK. She further honed her skills in fashion styling, photography, and fashion design, graduating from the prestigious Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Within just two years of launching her brand, she showcased her collections at the major fashion weeks in London, New York, Milan, and Paris.
PONDER.ER
PONDER.ER, the brainchild of creative duo Alex Po and Derek Cheng, challenges gender stereotypes and deconstructs social norms. The label’s striking gender-fluid designs are centred around the examination and dissemination of stereotypes and conventions, and they invite wearers to experiment and explore their own identities. The brand has collaborated with the Hong Kong Ballet and was featured in Vogue Hong Kong’s ‘The Next List 2020’. It was named the Yu Prize 2022 Grand Prize winner and one of 10 Asian Designers To Watch from Fashion Asia Hong Kong. PONDER.ER was shortlisted as a semi-finalist for the 2024 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers and a finalist at Vogue China Fashion Fund.
THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER
THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER was co-founded by Calvin Chan and Joyce Kun. After graduating, Calvin Chan received the Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award and was sponsored to further his studies in London. He also worked at the renowned London-based brand Yang Li. Calvin has held design and image-related roles at several companies in Hong Kong, accumulating many years of design experience. Joyce Kun has also received major honors such as the Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award and the Fashion Xiong'an Designer Award. The two designers embrace pragmatism and are known for their contemporary vintage style. With their brand THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER, they were selected by Fashion Asia Hong Kong as one of the "10 Asian Designers to Watch," receiving widespread recognition from the industry.
